Services
Travel vaccinations
Travel health advice and vaccinations, including yellow fever. We are an accredited yellow fever centre.
Book well ahead of departure
Some travel vaccinations need more than one dose, spaced weeks apart, to give you full protection. Six to eight weeks before you leave is comfortable. If your trip is sooner than that, still phone us, because there is usually something worth doing even at short notice.
Mention your departure date when you book so the appointment can be prioritised.
What happens at a travel consultation
Your doctor will go through where you are going, how long for, what you will be doing there and your existing vaccination history, then recommend what you need. Bring your itinerary and any vaccination records you already have.
Dr Jimmy Cheng lists travel health among his special interests. Our practice nurses provide adult and paediatric vaccinations, so follow up doses can usually be arranged at a convenient time.
