SydPath pathology
Onsite pathology collection through SydPath, no appointment needed.
Collection here, no separate trip
Pathology collection is available on site through SydPath, so you can have your blood taken here rather than travelling to a separate collection centre. No appointment is needed for collection.
Bring your request form and your Medicare card. If your doctor has asked you to fast, or to give a sample at a particular time of day, follow those instructions exactly, because it affects whether the result can be relied on.
Getting your results
Laboratory tests take on average one to two days to be processed, and some take longer. To maintain the highest standard of care, a follow up consultation is required to discuss your results.
Reception staff are unable to discuss or email copies of any test results without doctor approval. This is deliberate: a result on its own rarely tells the whole story, and it is worth the conversation. If something needs attention sooner, we will contact you.
