Skin checks & minor surgery
Spot checks, mole removal and minor procedures, carried out here at the practice. Costs apply.
Book a skin check as its own appointment
A skin check is a deliberate, unhurried look over your skin, not something squeezed onto the end of another consultation, so please book it on its own. If you have a particular spot that has changed, raise it first so it gets proper attention.
Living on the coast, most of our patients have had a lifetime of sun exposure. A skin check is one of the simplest preventive things a GP can do.
Minor procedures on site
Where a lesion needs to be removed or a minor procedure carried out, your doctor will talk you through what is involved, the cost and the aftercare before anything is booked. Costs apply for skin checks and minor surgery, and reception will explain the fee when you book.
Dr Hue Tran has completed a Certificate in Primary Care Skin Cancer Surgery awarded by the University of Queensland. Anything needing specialist management is referred on, with your own GP continuing to follow your care.
