Iron infusions
Doctor-administered iron infusions, in clinic. Costs apply.
It starts with your results
An infusion always starts with a conversation and a blood test. Your doctor will review your results, look at the reason behind them, and discuss with you whether an infusion is the right option or whether something else suits you better.
Pathology collection is available on site through SydPath, so the blood test that comes first can usually be done here at the practice.
On the day
If you and your doctor decide to go ahead, reception will book a dedicated appointment. Infusions are administered by a doctor here in the clinic. Your doctor will explain how long to allow and what to watch for afterwards.
Because an infusion needs a longer appointment, it cannot be added to a standard consultation. Booking it separately means the time is genuinely set aside for you. Costs apply, and reception will explain the fee when the appointment is made.
